BRIT Kids, The BRIT School’s Saturday School Bursary

Children living in Croydon and surrounding boroughs may be able to get help with the fees to BRIT Kids, The BRIT Schools Saturday provision.We will be offering bursaries across all our disciplines to young people aged 7- 18 years old.Our Bursary students' year would run from September - July.

We offer 5% of our total number of sessions to bursary students. Currently this means we can offer 60 sessions for young people for 2024/5. Children should select a maximum of 3 one hour classes or 2 one and half hour classes. Please do not select more than this. Refer to the website for course descriptions.

We assess the applications annually in June for a September start date.

Please do not commence your lessons if you are relying on the funding to pay for the lessons.

We will be allocating bursaries as 50%, 75% or 100% of the child’s fees. Please note that 100% bursaries are only awarded for households with an income under £25,000. We accept applications from households with an income of £40,000 or under.

CRO, CR2, CR3, CR4, CR5, CR6, CR7, CR8, SE19, SE20, SE25, BR3, BR4, SM6

The child must live at this address.

If we are able to offer your child a bursary, we will contact you via email. You will then be required to register on our App. We can guide you through this process.

 

 

 

 

National Saturday Club Film & Screen Bursary Classes

BRIT Kids are partnering with the National Saturday Club to offer the local community free access to a Film & Screen Club in Croydon at The BRIT School. Each Saturday for 36 weeks, young people aged 13-16 will have access to our high quality kit and studios and be taught by one of our BRIT Kids teachers. Club members will also be part of BRIT Kids, a community of 750 students that come together each Saturday as they all have one thing in common: a desire to explore the arts in a safe, inclusive environment.

Club members will also take part in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!
To qualify for a place you will need to supply evidence that your household income is below £45,000 annually.
As this is a unique partnership we ask that you apply via the National Saturday Club link. BRIT Kids will then be in contact with you to complete our own specific application form.
